Vancouver Police investigating an armed robbery in Vancouver

Further investigation revealed that a juvenile was robbed by several teenage males in the area earlier in the same afternoon

VANCOUVER — On Sunday (June 30), at approximately 1:15 p.m., Vancouver Police officers responded to report of an armed robbery in the area of Plomondon St and General Anderson Ave in Vancouver.

Further investigation revealed that a juvenile was robbed by several teenage males in the area earlier in the same afternoon.  At least one of the suspects was armed by what appeared to be a handgun.

Responding officers located one of involved suspects in a fast food restaurant, located at the 5000 block of NE Fourth Plain Blvd.  The suspect was taken into custody without incident. A witness indicated one of the suspect’s accomplices hid in a bathroom inside the restaurant.

Since no one was exiting the bathroom, other resources such as on-duty SWAT officers and hostage negotiators were deployed.  It was then discovered that the bathroom was empty.

Investigation into the armed robbery is currently active and no further information is available for the release at this time.

No one was injured during the robbery incident or during the contact at the restaurant.
