Sales scheduled for late April, early May at Battle Ground and Prairie high schools
BATTLE GROUND — Students in the Battle Ground School District grow thousands of plants each year.
In an annual tradition, those plants will now be sold during a series of sales that will help benefit the school district’s horticulture, welding and Future Farmers of America programs.
A variety of perennial and annual flowering and bedding plants, in addition to vegetable starts and hanging baskets, were all grown by students and will be available for sale.
The work to bring the plants to the sale has been carried out by students at Battle Ground High School, Prairie High School, the Center for Agriculture, Science and Environmental Education and the FFA and welding teams.
Some of the plants grown by students are used in landscaping projects around the district, but the rest are up for the taking.
