Clark County Sheriff’s OfficeVANCOUVER — A 69-year-old Clark County man was hospitalized Wednesday after his 24-year-old grandson allegedly stabbed him in the neck, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The stabbing occurred in the 4000 block of Northeast 44th Avenue and was reported at about 8:50 a.m. The suspect, who was not identified by the sheriff’s office, allegedly fled on foot from the scene but was taken into custody a short time later in a nearby park without further issues.

The injuries to the 69-year-old man were described as “serious” in a press memo from the sheriff’s office. He was transported to an area hospital.
