CCSO will continue to respond to all calls where there are life safety issues. For non-emergency requests, deputies may call prior to their arrival to help them determine the level of service needed and/or whether they can help over the phone.

“We ask that If you have individual needs that can be handled over the phone, please consider calling 3-1-1 and/or calling our West Precinct directly during regular business hours Monday- Friday (360) 397-6079,’’ stated a CCSO news release. “Given the current CDC recommendations, we have added additional safety measures for our staff.’’

All non-essential activities or gatherings shall be limited to help CCSO mitigate any potential exposure for its staff and the community. Community rooms will be closed to the public, planned gatherings postponed. All ride-alongs with deputies are being suspended.

“We ask that community members consider rescheduling non-essential business that they may have at our Headquarters and West Precinct location,’’ the news release stated.

Deputies will limit their attendance at public events, following CDC social gathering guidelines.

“We are making plans for staffing should some of our personnel become ill,’’ the news release stated. “We are increasing the cleaning of vehicles, equipment, buildings and work space.’’
