One travel guide says Vancouver Waterfront is among the best river walks in America
The first businesses on the new Vancouver Waterfront opened in 2018.
Since then, the property has continued to flourish.
Today, along with restaurants, office space, hotels, apartments, and more, there is also a water wall and a play structure. A lot of green space. An area for concerts, too.
And with the Port of Vancouver Terminal 1 project starting, look for a lot more in the coming year, as well.
Visit Vancouver Washington notes: “The curves of the Columbia River hold a wealth of cultural and recreational experiences for visitors to explore. From shopping and dining to water sports and parks, Vancouver’s waterfront community continues to grow.”
The city of Vancouver’s Waterfront Park is 7.3 acres that features open lawns and an urban beach, plus seating areas.
Oh, and the walkway, from Terminal 1 on the east to a closer look at the rail bridge to the west, allows guests to take it all in at a leisurely pace.
Fodors Travel Guide, in fact, named the Vancouver Waterfront among its top 15 river walks in the United States.

The photos are really nice! It would have been great if there had been one with a wider view, with Mt. Hood in the background, as well. I have a question though. What is that beautiful Vancouver Waterfront view going to look like with the existing historic bridge gone and instead there is the massive replacement I-5 bridge that the Interstate Bridge Replacement Project wants to build? This is a very serious question. It would be sad if the beautiful view is ruined.
