They had outgrown their office building.
Mike and Denise Werner went looking for something bigger.
It turned into something much, much bigger. Too big, in fact, for just the new offices. But a perfect fit for the community.

“Our thought was, let’s go looking for a really big building that we won’t outgrow,” Mike Werner said.

The building that previously housed the bingo parlor for the 40 et 8 veterans group went up for sale. The Werners bought it and have renovated it to their liking. It is now headquarters for the 40 employees of RV Inn Style Resorts, and it is also one of the largest indoor convention spaces in Clark County.
“I’m proud of Vancouver, Washington. I’m proud of our city. I’m proud of our community,” said Werner, who grew up in the city, graduating with Denise from Evergreen High School in 1982. “We could make our home office here, right here in Vancouver, and offer available space to do community activities here.”
The RV Inn Style Resorts Convention Center, on the corner of NE 78th Street and NE 26th Ave., had its official grand opening last month. Already, the center has hosted a concert, an auction, and a political debate.
There is a full kitchen, and the center is in the process of obtaining a liquor license. The facility will work for weddings and reunions. Sporting events such as mixed martial arts matches are a potential fit, as well.
The center can accommodate more than 2,000 people, Werner said.
