City of Vancouver accepting applications for COVID-19 Public Service Program grants

The city has approximately $225,000 available for the grants

VANCOUVER — The city of Vancouver is offering Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding of $25,000 or more to qualified organizations operating public service programs in response to COVID-19.

The city has approximately $225,000 available for the grants. Applications must be submitted online by 3 p.m. Wed., July 22 at www.cityofvancouver.us/cdbg. The city expects to award the funding no later than August.

The grants are part of the city’s efforts to support people experiencing homelessness, other vulnerable populations, and other Vancouver residents who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. Photo by Mike Schultz

The city will award funding to organizations responding to economic, housing, health, or other impacts resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants are part of the city’s efforts to support people experiencing homelessness, other vulnerable populations, and other Vancouver residents who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. Organizations may submit applications for new or existing public service programs.

An online informational session for applicants will be conducted via Cisco Webex at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2. During the session, city staff will provide more information about the grants and answer questions. Instructions about how to access the online session will be posted at www.cityofvancouver.us/cdbg in advance.
