VANCOUVER – The Building Industry Association of Washington announced its new hire, Bart Hansen, as vice president of business development.
Chuck Neibert, BIA president and co-owner of Affinity Homes LLC expressed his appreciation for Hansen’s hard work and relentless energy.
“Bart has brought a unique dynamism to our organization, significantly improving our association by introducing new events and focusing on membership retention,” stated Neibert. “Under Hansen’s leadership, the organization experienced substantial growth.”
In this new position, Hansen will manage BIAW’s membership efforts, working with the state’s 14 local homebuilding associations to actively promote and market signature association programs. He will also manage the development of new non-dues revenue opportunities.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bart Hansen to the BIAW team,” said BIAW Executive Vice President Greg Lane. “Bart’s commitment to the home building industry, passion for serving our members, and creative approach will benefit this association today and well into the future. He’s an excellent fit for our leadership team, and we’re all excited he’s joining us.”
Hansen joined the home building industry in September 2022 as executive officer for the Building Industry Association of Clark County. Prior to that, he worked for Clark Public Utilities for over 20 years. Hansen also serves on the Vancouver City Council, winning multiple re-election campaigns since his first appointment in 2010. Active in his community, Hansen is an appointed member of the C-TRAN Board of Directors. He also serves on the Vancouver School District Management Advisory Task Force, Clark County Mural Society and Downtown Rotary Club.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from WSU Pullman and received his Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst University. Hansen was born and raised in Vancouver and graduated from Hudson’s Bay High School.
