Experts and newcomers to gardening are welcome at the annual Seed Swap and Giveaway on Jan. 25 at the Hockinson Community Education Center
The 2026 Annual Seed Swap and Giveaway Event, benefitting the North County Community
Food Bank, is Sunday, Jan. 25 at the Hockinson Community Education Center.
There will be an array of cuttings, plants, seedlings, seeds, plus classes and valuable information at the event, which goes from noon to 4 p.m.
All are welcome, and there is no need to bring seeds in order to participate.
The Seed Swap and Giveaway is for all levels of gardening, whether one is starting to think about getting involved in gardening or those who possess a wealth of experience and knowledge to share. This event will provide networking opportunities and information.
Those in attendance will be able to network with others who are passionate about gardening, composting, reducing waste, beekeeping, nature-scaping, and more. There will also be an opportunity to pick from a multitude of flowers, herbs, and vegetable seeds, in addition to shared cuttings from gardens.
One could even pick up extra seeds to “grow extra rows” of vegetables to share with the food bank in the season ahead.
The North County Community Food Bank will have a table present to accept food or fund donations.
The Seed Swap and Giveaway is a celebration of friends, families, and sharing, all while building a stronger community.
The Hockinson Community Education Center is located at 15916 NE 182nd Ave in Brush Prairie.
