Starting Wednesday, July 9, WSDOT traffic control crews will conduct final testing and setup of three new wrong-way driving detection systems

VANCOUVER – Travelers who use northbound Interstate 5 near Ridgefield should plan for ramp closures and delays.

Starting Wednesday, July 9, the Washington State Department of Transportation traffic control crews will conduct final testing and setup of three new wrong-way driving detection systems. These upgrades are designed to reduce wrong-way driving and improve safety.

What to expect

Wednesday, July 9:

  • The off-ramp from northbound I-5 to Exit 11 (State Route 502) will close from 8 a.m. to noon.
  • The off-ramp from northbound I-5 to Gee Creek Rest Area (Exit 11) will close from 1-4 p.m.

Thursday, July 10:

  • The off-ramp from northbound I-5 to Exit 9 (179th Street) will close from 7 a.m. to noon.
