All shows (May 11-13) will start at 7 p.m., with doors opening to The Lair at Battle Ground High School at 6:30 p.m.
Don’t be late for this very important date: The Battle Ground High School drama club is pleased to present “Wonderland: Alice’s Rock and Roll Adventure,” with shows May 11-13 and 18-20.
“This is a fun retelling of the classic Lewis Carroll tales with great music in several styles, including rock and roll, Bollywood, folksy tunes and much more,” said BGHS drama director Stephan Henry. “I am excited to watch the show, to watch these amazing kids tell a wonderful story and for the audience to walk out singing some of the songs and believing once again that anything is possible.”
All shows will start at 7 p.m., with doors opening to The Lair at Battle Ground High School at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person, available at the door (cash only) or online in advance. There will be sign language interpretation available for the show on Thu., May 18. Runtime is about 90 minutes with a 12-minute intermission.

In a nod to Alice’s dreamscape, the entire production will be done without blackouts for scene changes. The scenes will change right before the audience’s eyes, much in the same way scenes change in dreams.
“I have always loved the world of imagination that Lewis Carroll put together in his original story,” Henry said, “and I think it is important to have a reminder every once in a while that we need to remember how to imagine, dream big and believe in the impossible.”
“Wonderland” also is based on a book and lyrics by Rachel Rockwell, with music and lyrics by Michael Mahler. This year’s production is being put on through a special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing, Inc.
