Event to be held April 7 at Pike Art Gallery in uptown Camas
Artists Liz Pike and Blue Bond are exhibiting new works at Pike Art Gallery in uptown Camas, located at 302 NE Sixth Avenue. The public is invited to an upscale First Friday Art Walk Reception on April 7 from 5-8 p.m. featuring delectable appetizers and beverages. The new gallery opened in February at the corner of NE Sixth and Birch Street directly across Sixth from Camas Bikes.
Gallery owner Liz Pike invites the public to meet Herbie, a beautiful original oil on canvas by Blue Bond in a large 30 x 40 format. In addition to her own works of art, the Pike Art Gallery features original works by Blue Bond. “The public is invited to a welcoming First Friday Art reception each month from 5-8 p.m.,” said Pike. Both artists work in oils on canvas and have been painting all of their lives.
“We also invite the public to stop by Pike Art Gallery each Thursday evening between 5-7pm to see a live painting demonstration by gallery artists,” said Pike. “We call it Thirsty ART Thursday and it happens every week. Join us and see live art being made in real time.” A second location for Pike Art Gallery is also housed in a stand-alone building at Pike’s organic Shangri-La Farm in Fern Prairie.
Bond is known nationally as a prize-winning portrait artist. Pike has been juried into Clark County Open Studios Tour each year since 2017. Pike also shows her work at several regional art festivals including the Fern Prairie Art Fest, Washougal Art Festival, Battle Ground’s Art in the Park, Ridgefield Forest Fair, White Oak Arts and Craft Festival in Washougal and Downtown Camas Vintage and Art Faire.
