The vehicle and the suspected shooter left the area prior to deputies arriving
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting in the St. Johns neighborhood of Vancouver.
On Sunday (July 31) at about 2:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a disturbance with a weapon in the area of NE 49th Street and NE 44th Avenue. Callers to dispatch stated they observed a reckless vehicle in the area. While the vehicle was reckless in the area an unknown male came into the street and fired several shots at the vehicle.
The vehicle and the suspected shooter left the area prior to deputies arriving. Evidence at the scene confirmed a shooting had taken place. Deputies canvassed the neighborhood and were not able to find any injured persons.
No further information will be released until the preliminary investigation is complete.
