
Deceased identified as 18-year-old Trevor Vernon, of Yacolt
An 18-year-old Yacolt resident was killed late Tuesday night in a single-vehicle collision.
On Tuesday (July 5) at about 11:46 a.m., Clark County Sheriff’s Deputies, North County EMS and Fire District 10 personnel were dispatched to the 22600 block of NE WH Garner Road on the report of a single-vehicle, injury collision.
Responding units located a 1988 Ford Ranger off the roadway, with extensive front damage. Preliminary investigation found the driver failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver and sole occupant, Trevor A. Vernon, 18 of Yacolt, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Clark County Sheriff’s Office traffic detectives are investigating the collision and contributing factors.
