Jael’s design will be featured on the cover of Ridgefield School District’s greeting card this year. As first-place winner, she received a $50 cash award at the Dec. 14 Board of Directors meeting.

Four semi-finalists were selected for runner up honors: Ruby Hankins, a kindergartner at Union Ridge Elementary School; Kennadi Beu, a third grader at Union Ridge Elementary School; Alexis Bitter, a fifth grader at Sunset Ridge Intermediate School; and Amelia Natterstad, an eighth grader at View Ridge Middle School. Each semi-finalist received a $25 cash award.

All winners received a set of greeting cards imprinted with their artwork.

The Superintendent’s Holiday Greeting Card Art Contest, now in its eighth year, was launched by the District in 2014 in partnership with the Ridgefield Art Association to promote student creativity and encourage students’ appreciation of the arts.
