To prepare for Memorial Day, youth with the Lewis & Clark Young Marines spent time cleaning the Old City Vancouver Cemetery located at 2700 E. Mill Plain Blvd. in Vancouver, Washington.

The Lewis & Clark Young Marines are part of the national Young Marines youth organization. The Young Marines strengthens the lives of America’s youth by teaching the importance of self-confidence, academic achievement, honoring our veterans, good citizenship, community service, and living a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. It’s refreshing to see young people being introduced to the Marine Corps this way. It’s also comforting to know the future of the Marine Corps is being secured in these young Americans, which leads to a stronger America.
These values they learn today will be with them for their lifetimes, this I can say with no reservations.
