K-12 student poems sought for C-TRAN buses

The deadline for submitting poems is May 1

VANCOUVER — Artstra, (formerly Arts of Clark County) has announced the opening of the submission period for Poetry Moves season 8, open to student poems (K-12) to be showcased on C-TRAN buses beginning July 2019. The deadline for submitting poems is May 1.

Entries must be from K-12 students currently enrolled in a public, private, or home school in Clark County, Washington. A maximum of two poems may be submitted, each of which must not exceed seven lines and must be the student’s own original work. Ten poems will be selected for Poetry Moves Season 8 and will be displayed in C-TRAN buses beginning July 2019. About Poetry Moves

Poetry Moves is a program of Artstra in collaboration with C-TRAN, providing poetry on bus channel cards in all C-TRAN buses. Installed on buses every six months are ten new poems by local and regional poets or student poets, including those involved in the Poets in the Schools program.
