
Performers ages 8 and up are welcome to sign up for auditions
Journey Theater is looking for performers for the upcoming production of Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man.”
The theater company, based in Vancouver, is holding auditions for children and adults who are strong singers/actors to play various roles. Plus the company is seeking dancers and singers, age 8 and up, to play multiple ensemble roles.
Auditions will be held, by appointment, June 1 and June 8. Callbacks will be invitation only. Rehearsals will run Fridays from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday’s from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from June 14 through July 27, with some Thursday evenings, as well.
The show will debut Aug. 2 and run through Aug. 10 at Garver Theater in Camas.
For the auditions, performers are asked to prepare 16 bars of a musical theater song that shows off vocal range and technical ability.No a cappella, so please bring an instrumental track, a downloaded audio. No streaming. If auditioning for a specific role, be familiar with the songs from the show. You might be asked to sing a selection.
All auditioning must bring a current headshot and resume.
Auditions will be closed.

Production fee is $100 per cast member, and each cast member must have been represented by a volunteer production committee member to help with costumes, public relations, concessions, and other duties. Each volunteer will receive a ticket to a performance.
