Volcanoes have two home games, plus will be entertaining guests at a tailgate one day, and a charity kick-off event on another day

The Vancouver Volcanoes and local businesses and events are teaming up for a big weekend.

The Night Market Tailgate is scheduled before Friday’s game at Clark College. As part of Small Business Month, there will be local vendors providing food, drinks, and music at an outdoor market beginning at 4 p.m.

The Volcanoes will take on the Salem Capitals at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for the market, which includes a ticket to the basketball game.

On Saturday, the Volcanoes will help with the “kick-off” event for this summer’s Hoops for H.O.P.E 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The kick-off event is at Vancouver Mall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 3-on-3 tourney used to be called Hoops on the River. The tournament is returning with a new name, which will be held the third weekend of August, with a mission to benefit low-income families in the community.

Also on Saturday, the Volcanoes will help The Yard Milkshake Bar debut its Cano Dream Shake. The Yard is on the waterfront. The new shake debuts at 2 p.m.

Later that night, the Volcanoes will take on Bakersfield at Clark College.

Looking ahead, the Volcanoes will have a military appreciation night on May 27.
