The Study of Sports has had some changes this academic year with its schedule. Mainly because the schedule of our jobs has made it more difficult to schedule studio access.

So the three of us talked a bit of how our changes in our roles at work have affected our time in sports.

For me? I will always love sports. Always consider myself a sports writer first. But as many of you know, I do a lot more news and human interest features at Clark County Today.

Cale and Tony have seen their roles change, too, from when they were high school athletic directors.

But we will always love sports. Local. Pro. We are sports fans. That will not end.

In this episode, we also talk the start of spring sports playoffs, the opening of Vancouver’s In-N-Out Burger, and the two administrators give the reporter a hard time about mythical favoritism.

Our podcast format is simple: A longtime sports reporter (Paul Valencia) discusses high school sports, and more, with longtime sports administrators and former coaches. Cale Piland is the former head football coach at Evergreen and Union and is now the athletic director for Evergreen Public Schools. Tony Liberatore is a former assistant coach and athletic director at Columbia River and is now an associate principal at Fort Vancouver.
