There are more than 100 wrestlers from Clark County schools who have qualified for this week’s state championships.
Oh, and if state rankings have any say, there could be a bunch of finalists and champions from the region at Mat Classic in the Tacoma Dome.
JJ Schoenlein of Skyview is a defending state champion in Class 4A boys. Faith Tarrant of Prairie is looking for her third consecutive state championship in 4A/3A girls.

And then there are plenty of wrestlers with aspirations of finishing atop the podium, too.
In all, there are 110 wrestlers from Clark County (and Woodland) who are going to the dome, 85 boys and 25 girls.
Washougal has the biggest group going to Tacoma, qualifying 10 boys in Class 2A.
