It is the official end of high school sports for the academic year in Washington, but there is an all-star baseball event Monday night for Clark County seniors and underclassmen

The longest spring sports season in recent memory has come to an end for the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, and Clark County athletes took part in some memorable championship performances on the final weekend of competition.
The Columbia River boys soccer team? Yep. No. 1. Again.
In track and field, Camas had three individual champions, Prairie had one athlete win two titles, and an Evergreen athlete repeated, as well.
And while La Center did not come home with a state championship in baseball, the Wildcats did go to the final four for the first time, ending up with a program-best second-place trophy from the state tournament.
King’s Way Christian boys soccer, meanwhile, also made program history, finishing third in the Class 1A tournament.
While the season is officially over, there are all-star games for some athletes across the state. One all-star game is tonight (Monday, June 2) with the new Clark County All-Star Baseball Game format at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex. There will be a futures game, with underclassmen all-stars, at 4 p.m. That will be followed by the senior all-stars at 7 p.m.
The WIAA changed its spring sports schedule this season, scheduling championships in the various sports over a two-week period instead of the traditional one weekend. So, yes, if you thought this season seemed a little long, you’d be correct.
It was worth the wait for the champions, though.
Columbia River lost its first match of the 2025 boys soccer season.
Columbia River didn’t lose the rest of the way.
The Rapids needed overtime to get past Sehome in the Class 2A semifinals on Friday, then cruised to the championship Saturday against North Kitsap. Columbia River scored two goals just before halftime, went up 3-0 early in the second half, and took home the championship with a 4-1 victory.
This is Columbia River’s second state title in the past three seasons.
In track and field, it is clear to say that Camas owns the pole vault.
Earlier in the three-day Class 4A track and field championships, Chase McGee and Karina Cooper won in the boys and girls pole vaults. McGee, who is the state-record holder in the event at 17-feet 5 inches, cleared 16-9 at the state meet. McGee also won the state title last year. Cooper won the girls title with a meet-record of 13-2. Cooper finished second last year.
On Saturday, Cohen Butler recorded a meet-record time of 8 minutes, 56.14 seconds to win the 3,200-meter run for the Papermakers.
In Class 3A, Will Foster of Prairie won the discus and the shot put. Foster set a meet record in the discus with a throw of 194-4. His winning mark was 61-8.25 in the shot put. This was his second consecutive state title in the shot put.
Evergreen’s Josiah Alanis is the 3A state champion in the long jump. He went 23-feet, 11.25 inches this year to win his second consecutive title in the event.
In baseball, La Center was the lone public school in the Class 1A final four. The Wildcats beat Charles Wright/Life Christian 3-0 in the semifinals on Friday. La Center fell behind in the championship game on Saturday, rallied, but came up a run short, falling to Bellevue Christian 5-4.
In 1A soccer, King’s Way Christian fell to University Prep 3-0 in Friday’s semifinal. The Knights rebounded to beat league-rival Columbia of White Salmon 4-2 in the third-place match. It is the first state trophy for King’s Way Christian soccer.
