We discussed our glory days a bit while noting some great achievements by players and teams from Week 1 in high school football.
We also asked our former head coach how to handle the tough times, when a program is struggling on the scoreboard.
And, we talk about the process for changing football schedules with 24-hour notice when weather conditions get in the way of a perfectly fine plan.
Our podcast is simple. It’s me, reporter Paul Valencia, with Cale Piland, the athletic director for Evergreen Public Schools, and Tony Liberatore, an associate principal at Fort Vancouver High School who used to be in athletics. We talk local sports first, then go into professional sports, with a side trip to fantasy sports or non-sports from time to time.
