Welcome back to the Clark County Today Sports Podcast.
This week we talk about The Slide that scored the winning run for Columbia River baseball, a great video that caught an emotional moment for the coaches, and an incredible photo that captured an incredible split-second of action, with River scoring the winning run.
We also talk to our sports administrators, former coaches, on just what it is like for a coaching staff to win a huge game.
We give a shout out to Camas and Seton Catholic for Scholastic Cup accomplishments, as well.
Oh, and an update on Skyview legend Kara Winger, who hopes to qualify for the Olympics … for the fifth time.
The podcast format is simple. Tony Liberatore of Vancouver Public Schools and Cale Piland of Evergreen Public Schools give their thoughts, along with Clark County Today reporter Paul Valencia. Liberatore and Piland are longtime sports administrators. And Valencia has been a sports reporter in the region for more than 20 years.
We lead with high school sports. Then talk about college and pro, too. And usually a few light items beyond sports.
