Welcome back to the Clark County Today Sports Podcast.
In this episode we discuss the recent Week 10 high school football games in Washington. Those games are not state playoff games, but they are playoff games. And there were very few close matchups. In Class 4A, maybe four of the 16 games were close. In 3A, the closest game was a 14-point win, and that really wasn’t close.
Does this mean that the gap between the haves and the have-nots in high school football is becoming too wide? We discuss.
We also talk about the seeding process for state playoffs.
Beyond high school sports, Paul Valencia shares some personal sports-related news. Hint: It’s about his passion for the Raiders.
The podcast format is simple. Tony Liberatore of Vancouver Public Schools and Cale Piland of Evergreen Public Schools give their thoughts, along with Clark County Today reporter Paul Valencia. Liberatore and Piland are longtime sports administrators. And Valencia has been a sports reporter in the region for more than 20 years.
