The annual community celebration is organized by a committee of volunteers. The centerpiece of the two-day event was the Twilight Parade held Friday evening. Participants in the parade gathered at La Center High School and the parade route continued through downtown La Center.

After the parade Friday night, area residents and visitors gathered for Movie Night at Sternwheeler Park. This year’s featured movie was “Matilda.’’

Saturday’s events began with a 5K Fun Run/Walk, that began in Holley Park. There was also a car show and the annual Beautiful Baby Contest Saturday as well as vendors and other activities.
