Show dates run April 26 through May 19 at Love Street Playhouse in Woodland
Love Street Playhouse is proud to present Neil Simon’s hilarious comedy The Sunshine Boys. Show dates run April 26 through May 19 at Love Street Playhouse, 126 Loves Ave in Woodland. Single tickets are $25 on sale at www.lovestreetplayhouse.com.

The show
Willie Clark (played by Lou Pallotta of Ridgefield) and Al Lewis (played by Rick Barr of Vancouver) were top-billed Vaudeville actors for over forty years. Now, in 1973, they aren’t even speaking to each other. When CBS requests them for a “History of Comedy” retrospective, a grudging reunion brings them back together, along with a flood of memories, miseries, and laughs. The story follows the young agent Ben Silverman (played by Adam Pithan of Longview) who reunites his elderly uncle with his long-time stage partner. Besides remastering their “Doctor Sketch”, the two men have numerous issues to work out before they are ready to return to the public eye.

“The brilliance of Neil Simon’s writings is on full display in this script,” says Melinda Pallotta, Director of the show and owner of Love Street Playhouse. “We’re excited to be taking this hilarious comedy and presenting it with the full measure of the 70’s era comedic irreverence and sounds of the times,” Lou Pallotta interjects. “The banal notes of the era are what will enrich the viewer’s sense of time and place, revisiting a time in history where social and political correctness had yet to be born. What made this show a must-do for us is the fact that through all the angst, this powerful story about reconciliation erupts with a timely message for today’s world.”
Director and Love Street owner, Melinda Pallotta has assembled a talented cast for this lively comedy. Starring in The Sunshine Boys is Lou Pallotta of Ridgefield playing Willie Clark, Adam Pithan of Longview playing his nephew Ben Silverman, Rick Barr of Vancouver playing Al Lewis, Lynn Lavon of Vancouver playing the Sketch Nurse, Sharon Mann of Vancouver playing the Registered Nurse, and also features Nathan Karchesky, Alex Hugo and Alex Girard.
