Victorio Piva suffered several injuries after a crash on his dirt bike in Washougal
An Idaho man is in a medically induced coma in a Vancouver hospital after a motorcycle crash, and his family and friends are raising money through GoFundMe for his care and other expenses.
Victorio Piva was riding his motorcycle at the Washougal MX Park on July 7 when an apparent mechanical malfunction led to a crash. Piva was unconscious when help arrived. He suffered from several injuries, including broken C4 and C5 in his spine, broken ribs, a broken leg, and vertebral artery damage.
His fiance, Missy, and their newborn daughter are by his side in Vancouver.
Victorio and Missy are both self employed and are not bringing in any income when they cannot work. They are parents of three children.
“While they most certainly will have to take a substantial amount of time off while they go through all the future phases of healing and recovery, they’ll need help to lighten the load,” according to the GoFundMe account. “Not only will time off work impact them, but mounting medical bills and other unforeseen expenses will be coming. Please consider donating.”

In a recent update, Missy told the organizer of the fundraiser that every donation has made her feel some relief of stress associated with this incident. She thanks everyone who has donated.
