
Furry Friends’ volunteers are asking that any donation be brought to the Legion on the day before the sale
Vancouver – Furry Friends’ volunteers are hosting a garage sale to raise funds for the cats and kittens in their care.
The festivities will begin at 9 a.m. on Sat., April 27 and will end at 4 p.m. The large sale will be held at the American Legion located at 4607 NE St James Road, Vancouver, WA 98663.

Furry Friends’ volunteers are asking that any donation be brought to the Legion on the day before the sale, Fri., April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“We are also asking for minimal glass type items, no dirty excessively used items, no items that have been around excess cigarette smoke, no super old items unless they are sought after items now, no broken items, no used litter pans, excessively used cat trees/cat beds, clothes should be washed, etc. Last time we had a large truck filled with items that couldn’t be sold,’’ read a news release from Furry Friends.



Why are we fundraising?
Springtime is when love is in the air, and Furry Friends’ volunteers start to see “kitten season” kick into full swing.

“We anticipate performing over 550 spay/neuter surgeries this year to help reduce the cat population in our community,’’ read a news release. “The funds from garage sale will go toward the over $50,000 cost of spay/neuter services Furry Friends is projecting and helping to cover extraordinary medical expenses for cats that need that extra TLC to get them into a loving home.’’
