Sunday?
Absolutely. There is a lot of sun in the forecast.
But it can also be called Funday at the Clark County Fair.
Day 3 of the 2024 Clark County Fair will feature the final night of the fair’s concert series.
Country music performer Chris Janson is set to take the stage to play his own music as well as covers of a few famous acts.
And you just know he has to play Buy Me a Boat, one of his most famous songs.
His fans love the vibe:
“Yeah, and I know what they say, money can’t buy everything.
Well, maybe so
But it could buy me a boat.”
The fair will continue with its daily exhibits, including featured exhibit Dino Encounters. Look for a link below to the entire day’s entertainment schedule.
But here are some highlights for Sunday, Aug. 4 at Summer’s Best Party:
The Washington State Fiddle Championships resume with performances on the Holt Homes Community Stage at 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Then the final session of the championships will go from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Wanna watch babies race? The Diaper Derby is Sunday. Registration is at 10:30 a.m., with racing to begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Kids’ Park.
How many hot dogs can you eat? If it’s a bunch, you just might want to try your luck at the hot dog eating contest. Registration begins at 12:30 with the contest starting at 1 p.m. at Holt Homes Community Stage.
In the animal department, there will be plenty of judging with different categories. But one that caught our eye? There is a cat story telling contest at 3:30 p.m. at South Hall 3. We’ll assume this is people telling stories about their cats. That sounds like fun. But even more fun if it were cats actually meowing their way through classic novels. OK, that’s not happening. But cat story telling? Seriously, that’s amazing! That should be a purrrrrrrrfect showcase.
