Chelatchie Prairie Railroad to offer Headless Horseman Train Ride

Rides will take place Oct. 26-27 and will be pulled by the 1941 diesel engine

YACOLT — The Chelatchie Prairie Railroad will operate its annual Headless Horseman Train excursion on Sat. & Sun., Oct. 26 & 27. The run will be pulled by a 1941 diesel engine, through a 330-foot solid rock tunnel to the Heisson area with a stop at Moulton Station to visit Yacolt Falls — and the Headless Horseman.

There will be candy and games for the kids and complimentary refreshments for all.

With the popularity of this event, a morning train has been added each day. Trains depart at 9:30 a.m., noon, and 2:30 p.m. from the station in Yacolt. Attendees are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time to allow adequate time to pick up your tickets and board the train. Advance reservations are recommended as this is a popular event.
