What people don’t understand is that Michelle’s first duty (and the other Councilors) is to uphold the WA State Constitution, Article 1 says: “All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights.” It is OUR right to have our will upheld and represented. It has been VERY clear that the people of Clark County DO NOT want Light Rail. That has been upheld by the voters three separate times! So, Michelle’s responsibility is to REPRESENT the people, NOT the will of the other Councilors (who are negligent for IGNORING the will of the voters). So, yes, she should be reinstated IMMEDIATELY! And the other Councilors should be fined, as recommended by Skamania County! Post Haste!
absolutely she should as it seems she’s the only on the board listens and speaks for the people where the others seem to have their own agendas.
Chair person should also be removed from her position after allowing something like this to occur while she was at the helm. It was ultimately her responsibility for the results and possibly pushing it on the other councilor’s as well.
