I agree. But the County should tell the so-called Department of "ecology" to go pound sand about a 1000 miles west of here and leave Bizi Farms alone.

I voted that Clark County is headed in the wrong direction. New leadership at County and City is direly needed. The fiasco of the IRB/Lite rail is #1 since elected officials have ignored the will of the citizens. #2 is the total focus on multiple dwelling complexes in the rural area with no improvement in roads to handle all the new folks. #3 is the C Tran Board buying all the Vine buses when ridership does not warrant it. Yet the C Tran Board just keeps on going like it is "King Kong" - tearing up our primary roads for the sake of the bus stops. What a mess.
On the positive side, the county authorizing a substantial number of new road deputy positions - I have heard numbers between 22 and 99. Remember it takes about one year for a new deputy to be working on their own. Another positive is the Charter Review Commission. The Charter does need changing. Their recommendations will be on the November ballot.
When my wife and I moved here in 1971 (I was a Fish and Wildlife Police Officer) the county was quieter, much more farm land, we could have fun locally. We supported our local farmers and merchants. Now I think 75 to 90% are gone, giving way to heavy duty commercialization. Sad. Its brought on increased property taxes. Yes, we are willing to pay our fair share, but county and city officials have gone "bananas" with assessments and taxes. Our elected officials that are in the legislature, bear the responsibility as well. I hope we will see some real changes on the city, county and state levels this election season. Conservatives - get involved. Vote and get others to vote.
