Clark County Today Editor Ken Vance shares his thoughts on the ‘Biden Rehabilitation Tour’

Last week, the Joe Biden Rehabilitation Tour kicked off when the former president made an appearance on the ABC talk show “The View.’’ Biden reportedly has hired a public relations firm in an attempt to rehabilitate his image after his disastrous presidency and in advance of an expected book that will provide him and his wife Jill in the neighborhood of $30 million.

His television performance was concerning, as you might have expected. Sadly, he is a man who is experiencing diminished capacity. He stumbles and stammers his way through his spoken thoughts, often before giving up altogether, at which point his wife attempts to come to his defense and tell us what he was actually trying to say.
I feel bad for the former president, I really do. This is not the way a man with a lifetime of public service should be remembered, whether you agreed with his politics and ideology or not. It was the same way I felt on June 20, 2024 when Biden’s decline in mental acuity was front and center for all of us to see when he attempted to debate President Trump before pulling out of the 2024 presidential race.
On that night, I was in Las Vegas visiting my son and other friends. We had dinner plans that night but I purposely scheduled our gathering at a later time so I could at least watch a portion of the debate. I was curious to see Biden in action for myself. Like many of you, I just didn’t believe the narrative Democrats and the mainstream media were trying to sell that Biden was “sharp’’ mentally and he was “running circles around’’ his staff. I canceled my dinner that night because I didn’t want to miss history taking place right before my eyes.
Immediately after the debate began, it was obvious to me and all of you that we had been lied to by many members of the media and the White House staff. It was the first evidence of what I believe is the greatest “cover up’’ in the presidential history of our country. For four years, Biden was our president in name only. It’s obvious to anyone with two eyes and a brain that he was not capable of performing the duties of that job, of that office. I don’t know who was running our country during those four years. Was it Jill Biden? Was it other unelected advisors, or members of his cabinet?
You might ask why am I re-visiting this subject now? Well, first of all, Biden was trotted back out in front of us for all to see last week. I had hoped his wife and others would protect him better now that he was out of office, but as someone recently suggested to me, “they deserve a special place in hell’’ for doing this to him. The appearance on “The View’’ is only the first of his “Rehabilitation Tour.’’ The Bidens want that $30 million from their upcoming book release and they are obviously willing to sell their souls to get it, regardless of what it does to the former president’s legacy.
I don’t know about you, but I want answers. I think our country deserves answers. Who was running our country? What laws were broken? Are any of those folks still in elected positions? How do we prevent this from happening in the future? Anyone who participated in this cover-up needs to be held accountable.
I’m also reminded by Sun Tzu in the book The Art of War. “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.” It’s hard to imagine the Democrats winning any election until they stop making mistakes. They continue to lie to us about what took place during the Biden Administration. They continue to focus on their own “Trump Derangement Syndrome.’’ They continue to back policies that the majority of voters have made clear they don’t. I guess we could all just sit back and let the insanity and nonsense continue. But I think this is bigger than that and who’s to say they won’t try something like this again if they get the chance?
