To all who are reading this,

I am running for Evergreen School Board director in order to help career and technical education, bring the AVID program back to Heritage High School, to bring more support for paraeducators and to bring IB to Evergreen Public Schools.

I have lived in Vancouver, Orlando, FL; Winter Garden, FL; and Cheney, WA. I have attended and graduated from Evergreen Public Schools (Silver Star, Covington and Heritage). I’ve attended Clark College, Eastern Washington University & WSU Vancouver. I will be graduating from WSU this fall. I’ve been involved assisting DECA and FBLA and would like to become an educator in the future.

The PSE strike and the disrespect at the table opened my eyes and caused me to hit the ground running. It is unacceptable for us to spend $31,000 for the bargaining team when we’ve had to make cuts over the years. Our school does not have retail student stores for its DECA program nor do we have AVID or Excel. I feel our district has not been handling situations correctly over the past few years, which is why I hopped into the race.

My focuses are to get support for our paraeducators, introduce international baccalaureate in our schools, end the secret bargaining bonuses, get support for DECA and FBLA and rehab our brand.
