Vancouver Direct Primary Care in collaboration with the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life is presenting Wellness in the Park, a grassroots movement to connect people with healthy lifestyle choices.
Wellness in the park was created to cultivate lifelong health and wellness habits which results in a happier and healthier community. Area residents can visit with local gyms, healthcare, and wellness providers and take an exercise class, listen to music, or simply enjoy the park. The public is invited to join Wellness in the Park Sun., Sept. 10 for a free open to the community, family-friendly event focused on promoting physical and mental health in the community.
Hosted by Vancouver Direct Primary Care at the picturesque Esther Short Park, this day-long event is situated right next to the vibrant Vancouver Farmers Market, making it the perfect environment for learning, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Attendees can discover valuable information from local health and wellness professionals as they share their knowledge through engaging workshops, interactive classes, and informative presentations. This is a unique opportunity to explore various techniques and practices designed to help you achieve a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
Sept. 10 classes and activities:
- 9 a.m.: Yoga with Jane McIntosh Yoga
- 10 a.m.: High Intensity Interval North West Physical Training
- 10:30 a.m.: Body Pump with Anytime Fitness
- 11 a.m.: Whole Body Stretching Class with North West Physical Training
- Noon: Body weight exercise with Optimized Strength & Performance
