Washougal Police investigating kidnapping attempt

A 13-year-old female was walking home when a man reportedly began to chase her

On Monday (April 18) at about 7:22 p.m., Washougal Police responded to a kidnapping attempt near the 300 block of 6th Street in Washougal. 

A 13-year-old female was walking home when a man reportedly began to chase her. The man attempted to grab ahold of the teen, but she was able to get away and make it home. 

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40-years-old, and about 5-foot-10 in height. He was said to be wearing a black Seahawks beanie hat, a dark brown jacket, blue pants, and carrying a backpack with a small American flag attached.
