Vancouver Police make arrest in drive-by shooting investigation

Road rage incident took place May 12 near the 7500 block of NE 41st Street

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) announced the arrests of two individuals stemming from an investigation into a road rage incident that took place earlier this month.

On Monday, detectives from the Safe Streets Task Force, US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, Vancouver Police patrol, with assistance from the Lower Columbia SWAT team, located two suspects from the May12 road rage/drive-by shooting incident that occurred near the 7500 block NE 41st Street.

Tejay Nunya Castle, 31, was arrested for multiple charges including Assault I and Drive-By Shooting. Montgomery A. Hedges, 36, was arrested for multiple charges including Assault I, Drive-By Shooting and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Both suspects were booked into the Clark County Jail.  The investigation is continuing.

On May 12 at about 7:20 p.m. a male driving on I-205 northbound was involved in a road rage incident involving a light blue, two-door Honda Civic. The suspect driver was described as a white male in his late 20’s. The incident ended near 7500 NE 41st Street with the suspect firing multiple rounds at the victim’s vehicle, with at least one round hitting the vehicle. The victim was not injured.
