Vancouver Police investigate bank robbery

The suspect delivered a note and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Vancouver Police Department is asking for help from the public to identify a suspect in a bank robbery that took place Thursday afternoon.

At about 1:20 p.m. Thursday (May 13), police responded to a robbery alarm at the Columbia Credit Union, located at 3003 NE 62nd Ave. The suspect delivered a note and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen on foot headed north on NE 62nd Ave. 

The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-to-late 20’s, with a thin build, and short strawberry blonde hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a light blue polo shirt and lite denim jeans. 

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information on this incident, or who witnessed it, is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department Tip Line at (360) 487-7399.
