VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Police Department has arrested a suspect in a shooting that took place Sunday.

On Sunday (March 6) at about 8:30 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a disturbance with a weapon at the Wal-Mart located at Grand Ave./Fourth Plain Blvd. When officers arrived, they located a male with a facial injury and learned that he and another male were allegedly conducting a drug deal in the parking lot.

At one point, the interaction turned violent and the suspect produced a handgun and fired it at the feet of the victim causing either fragments of brick, or fragments of the projectile to ricochet up and strike the victim’s face.

Officers located a male nearby that matched the suspect description and witnesses confirmed he was the male involved in the shooting.
