Vancouver Police arrest bank robbery suspect

VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Police Department has arrested a suspect in a Monday robbery of a Columbia Credit Union branch.

On Monday (Oct. 18) at about 2:06 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Columbia Credit Union located at 3003 NE 62nd Avenue. A male entered the credit union, presented a note to the teller, which indicated he would shoot the teller if she did not comply, and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. 

Officers canvassed the area, were able to quickly gather suspect information, probable cause, and the route the suspect took, to include an apartment complex and unit the suspect was later located at. 

Officers were able to get the suspect to exit the apartment without incident. A black Sig Sauer P365 look-alike pellet/air gun and other evidence was located inside the apartment.
