Suspect in shooting of Clark County Sheriff’s Office sergeant arrested

Guillermo Raya was located and arrested in Salem

VANCOUVER – The suspect in the shooting death of Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Jeremy Brown was located and arrested Sunday in Salem, Oregon.

Police are still searching for 26-year-old Guillermo O. Raya, who is considered armed and dangerous. A warrant has been issued for his arrest in connection with the shooting. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Photo courtesy of Vancouver Police Department

Detectives from the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force and the Salem Police Department located and arrested Guillermo O. Raya in Salem Sunday. 

Details on the arrest were not available at the time of this report. 

Raya will be extradited to Clark County to face charges related to the Friday shooting of Brown.
