
Organization in Battle Ground is asking for donations of new socks and underwear to go to the Clark County Veterans Assistance Center
The Battle Ground Senior Citizens Inc., is making it easy to help out Santa Claus … this month.
Celebrate “Christmas in July” with a sock and underwear drive for the Clark County Veterans Assistance Center.
Folks are being asked to drop off new socks and underwear at the July 14 luncheon for the Battle Ground Senior Citizens group.
The program for the luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon is held at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main Street.
One Facebook follower of the group said he has 300 pairs of socks to donate.
The Clark County Veterans Assistance Center aims to provide a welcoming and safe environment for the purpose of assisting Clark County veterans and their families in obtaining benefits, services, and resources to meet their basic needs, according to its website.
