The long-time resident would bring a lifetime of experience in behavioral health, activism for justice and business to Vancouver City Council
VANCOUVER – Vancouver businesswoman, Pooneh Gray, filed today to run for Position #1 on the Vancouver City Council.
“I love Vancouver. I plan to bring the same passion to public service and solving community problems that I’ve demonstrated in business and pursuing justice for my family and community,” said Gray.
Gray’s years working on her mother’s homicide gave her insight into the inner workings of government- including the improvements needed to increase public safety.
Gray also has extensive experience in the mental health field. This experience brings a fresh perspective to community problem solving and provides a solid foundation for coming up with successful solutions for Vancouver’s homeless crisis.
“On City Council, I’ll work to develop successful solutions to address the humanitarian crisis of unsheltered homelessness and unregulated public camping with a balance of compassion and accountability,” said Gray.
Gray will bring more than 25 years of real estate development and team leadership experience from both the private and public sectors to Vancouver’s City Council.
“I envision a future Vancouver that offers prosperity for all.”
