Two teenage suspects from Vancouver among three arrested
Two guns were recovered and three people are facing charges after a Vancouver Police pursuit crossed into Portland.
On Thursday (June 15) at about 6:15 p.m., Portland Police Bureau North Precinct officers were notified that Vancouver Police Department officers were pursuing a driver into Portland Police jurisdiction, and that the occupants were wanted in a shooting case.

North Precinct officers assisted with the pursuit, including making efforts to employ intervention techniques. The suspect vehicle crossed the Steel Bridge and crashed into a TriMet MAX train near Northwest 3rd Avenue and Northwest Glisan Street (photo). North Precinct, Central Precinct, Focused Intervention Team, and K9 officers converged and assisted Vancouver Police with taking three people into custody.
No one was injured on the MAX train, however it was disabled by the force of the crash and passengers had to be transferred to another transport.
Officers recovered two firearms that were thrown out of the vehicle’s windows during the pursuit. The firearms were damaged when they were tossed. The firearms were taken as evidence.
