VANCOUVER – Shannon Roberts has announced her candidacy for the District 4 Clark County Council seat. Currently this seat is held by Gary Medvigy who did not file for re-election.
Roberts served in the United States Navy and then as a Camas City Council member and desires to continue her service as a County Council member. Roberts desires to serve her local community by keeping citizen concerns before anything else. She states “I do not give lip service to important issues just to placate a citizen’s concern.”
In her candidate announcement, Roberts’ statement indicated that he had “worked time and time again to listen to citizen concerns, was honest about issues she had no control over and actioned the ones she could. She worked to avert a tax and spend government by saying no to property tax increases, among other items. She believes there is much government waste of taxpayer dollars. Her city council experience as well as knowledge in project management and data analysis has served citizens well. If elected, Ms. Roberts will continue leveraging the culmination of her experience in the district 4 council position for all Clark County citizens. Experience does matter.”
