Deceased pedestrian identified by Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office


Jeremy W. Hendrix, 44, of Vancouver died after being hit by a vehicle while crossing Interstate 205 last week

The pedestrian who died after being hit while crossing Interstate 205 last week has been identified by the Clark County Medical Examiner’s office.

Jeremy W. Hendrix, 44, of Vancouver, died from multiple blunt force injuries due to a vehicle and pedestrian collision according to a report from the medical examiner Tuesday. The incident took place on Wed., Feb. 10 as Hendrix was attempting to cross I-205 near the Mill Plain Boulevard interchange.

According to a report from the Washington State Patrol, at about 10:37 p.m., Hendrix was in the northbound lanes when he was hit by a 2011 Chrysler 300 driven by Benjamin Moldovan, a 42-year-old resident of Brush Prairie.

Hendrix was pronounced dead at the scene. Moldovan was not injured. The collision was determined to be an accident according to the medical examiner’s office.
