The blaze was first reported shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday at 18218 NW 28th Avenue, Ridgefield. A black plume of smoke was visible a mile away from the blaze, which appeared to start in a shop housing lawnmowers, propane tanks, and other materials.

Fire engines from Clark County Fire District 6 arrived and because of the property’s rural location were assisted by water tenders from Clark County Fire & Rescue. About 15 firefighters extinguished the blaze within 20 minutes.

Two nearby RV’s sustained heavy damage from the fire, but a nearby home was untouched. The Clark County Fire Marshall’s office is investigating and will be reporting the cause and damage estimate of the fire.
