CCSO staff will not ask for cash in person or to meet some place to pay cash to alleviate an arrest warrant

An unknown person or persons have been calling intended victims identifying themselves as a representative from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office stating “you” need to contact them to discuss a legal matter.  The callers have been using the names of actual members of the department.  This is a scam.

If people are unsure of the validity of the call or the caller, they can call the Clark County Sheriff’s Office West Precinct at (564) 397-6079.   

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind people the Sheriff’s Office will not ask for cash in person or to meet some place to pay cash to alleviate your arrest warrant.  The Sheriff’s Office does not ask for nor take gift cards as payments for fines.
