Clark County Sheriff’s Office investigating fatality collision

Sunday’s accident involved a scooter and a vehicle, each driven by Vancouver residents

A 36-year-old Vancouver woman was killed Sunday afternoon when the scooter she was operating collided with a vehicle at an intersection in north Vancouver.

On Sunday (May 1) at about 3:30 p.m., Clark County Sheriff’s deputies responded with the Vancouver Fire Department and an American Medical Response ambulance, to a vehicle versus motorcycle serious injury collision on NE 172nd Ave. at NE 8th St. in Vancouver.

Deputies determined a 2007 Argo AR-150 scooter was being operated by 36-year-old Sarah Seabridge of Vancouver as she made a right turn south on NE 172nd Ave from NE 8th St. Meanwhile, 51-year-old Craig Violette of Vancouver was operating a 2019 Honda CRV northbound on NE 172nd Ave.

As Seabridge was turning south, the Argo AR-150 crossed the centerline of NE 172nd Ave. and impacted the left front of the Honda CRV.  Seabridge was ejected from the scooter and sustained fatal injuries.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit is investigating.
